Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in the legal setting. Professor Goodman is the author of a wide range of papers and awards to her credit and is the recipient of a variety of international and national awards. She has been a consultant to numerous government agencies and governments across the world on policies as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. Additionally, she provides consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division, American Psychological Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
